With an eye towards their goal of revitalizing 30 neighborhoods with green, Westchester Habitat will be selling rain barrels at a reduced price at their Green Restore store.

The aim is to help beautify the area at a low cost.

“At a time when there are droughts in California and floods in New York, rain barrels are a practical solution to helping alleviate water flooding and harvesting water for lawns and gardens,” stated Jim Killoran, Westchester Habitat chief executive officer.

The organization is also joining forces with the county to help distribute barrels across the area.

Habitat for Humanity of Westchester's main offices are at 659 Main St. in New Rochelle.
